We strengthen communities by promoting and offering early prevention and intervention support services in areas of Family Violence, Mental Health, Social inclusion, Community and Career Development. We exist to bridge gaps and create connections for members of the African- Australian community; provide guidance to existing service providers working with African communities; and assist businesses, organisations, service providers and government agencies to embed a culture of inclusivity in their policies and practices. Latest Update: COVID-19
From the 23rd of March, African Family Services decided to suspend all face-to-face activity and transitioned to the remote delivery of our services. Effective from Sunday 2 August, the Victorian Premier has announced that metropolitan Melbourne will be entering Stage 4 restrictions in order to curb the spread of COVID-19. In accordance with the new Stage 4 restrictions, African Family Services will continue to work remotely until further advice from the government is received. We will be providing our services online and over the phone. We remain focused on doing everything possible to support our clients during these difficult times. We will continue to communicate with our clients and workers as new information becomes available.
